Jeremy Coenen

Hello,

My name is Jeremy Coenen and this is my blog. I am not exactly sure I really want to start my own blog as I am likely to post something on here that will get me in trouble in one way or another, but I have volunteered to help out with a couple websites and I need a “test” site that I can try various stuff on and well……Coenens.com hasn’t been getting a lot of content updates since the big wedding of 02, so I guess worst case there will be something new on our site finally. Well here goes.

I am 25 years old and live in Hortonville, WI with my wife Elizabeth. I currently work for Avastone Technologies as a Systems Developer. I just finished my MBA from UWO and have an undergrad in Computer Informations Systems from St. Norbert College. I think I am done with school for a while. Really don’t see the benefit of going for a PHD at this point in my life and well….21 years of school should be enough to hold me over for a while.

Other than work and school I try to play as many sports as I can in my free-time. Although I have noticed a considerable decline in my participation in these activities since the wedding mentioned previously. It’s probably because I cannot bare to be away from my lovely wife (this is what I was talking about earlier when I said I would get myself in trouble). When I do get out of the house I play flag football in the fall in Greenville (3rd Base - champs 02,04), volleyball at THE BAR in Appleton (champs last 5 or 6 years), golf in the summer (it’s golf and they have handicap so winning isn’t really winning - maybe I’ll create a blog later and rant about how pointless handicaps are later), and my favorite sport of all (Basketball) I don’t play anywhere anymore. Everyone got old, fat, or moved away and now I have no one to play with….which is probably why I looked like This during the Alumni Tournament.

As far anything else in my life it probably revolves around our baby that is on the way. I won’t say too much in this post, because I have created an entire section for me to talk about my baby and all the cool things that go along with being a first time parent.

Well I think this is good enough for a first post.
